Open Streets Wilmington

Open Streets is a shared front yard, a mobile Central Park, a place for neighbors to spend time together. Open Streets Wilmington takes place once a month, closing streets to motor vehicles to create space for outside activity. Walk, bike, run, roller blade, dance. Visit local businesses. Enjoy children’s activities, live music, fitness classes and much more! The Open Streets Delaware Ave route connects Rockford Park, Alapocas Run State Park, Brandywine Park, and the Northern Delaware Greenway, all without ever having to share space with cars.
Open Streets on Delaware Avenue is a one-time event taking place from 9am-12pm on Saturday, September 18th. Delaware Avenue from Scott St. to Brinkle Avenue will be be shut down to car traffic from 8am-12:30pm with Union and Dupont Streets remaining open to vehicles.
