“Mister Rogers & Me” Benefit Screening
May 6 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

In his 83-minute PBS Documentary, Fred Rogers’ real-life neighbor, Journalist Benjamin Wagner, comes to know more than just the TV icon and his luminous legacy. His personal journey unearths the roots of Mister Rogers’ values, unmasks the forces acting against depth and simplicity, and helps them to develop the means to lead deeper, simpler lives.
Like Mister Rogers Neighborhood, trauma-informed care endeavors to create safe spaces where all are respected, can freely observe, describe and regulate their emotions, and develop healthy language around how they view themselves, their world, and the differences they may see in those around them.
Following the screening, panelists Tracey Quillen Carney (Delaware First Lady), Dr. Julius Mullen Sr. (Board President, Trauma Matters Delaware), and filmmaker, Benjamin Wagner, will discuss Mister Rogers’ legacy in relation to the growing trauma-informed movement.
Proceeds from the screening will benefit Trauma Matters Delaware.
